Official description
Description
The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) is in the process of evaluating its inventory of bus stops for upgrade (see action MLU-3.2-SA3). Ridership will be the primary deciding factor, followed by whether the bus stop is located in a historically disadvantaged community (MTS will include San Diego's Climate Equity Index as a factor).
The MTS Transit Amenities Policy (2021)was updated to ensure the equitable distribution of amenities across the MTS transit network. The City will coordinate with MTS on transit stop improvements and explore opportunities for the City's Climate Equity Index to inform this work.
