Roundabouts and traffic circles keep vehicles moving through intersections without stopping, which reduces idling and improves air quality compared to traditional signalized intersections. They also tend to reduce the severity of traffic collisions.
This indicator tracks the total number of new roundabouts and traffic circles installed in San Diego since 2019. The City has a target of 13 installed by 2030 and 20 by 2035.
