Lead paragraph

ESD has a multi-faceted plan to increase awareness, use of, and demand for compost, mulch and soil blends produced within the City. The City will host several community compost giveaway events and are actively increasing participation in local networking events. These events provide opportunities to connect with local farms, garden groups, universities, composters, landscapers, and other soil and climate-related businesses and organizations. Through these efforts, the City will highlight the benefits of compost, promote Miramar Greenery compost and mulch, and foster valuable partnerships. Additionally, ESD is planning to distribute and spread compost and mulch in much larger amounts at City facilities in FY26 due to partnerships forged in FY25.
