Increase public awareness of and access to opportunities for reuse, product rentals, repair, and donation

The City is committed to promoting WasteFreeSD.org, a comprehensive database for reuse, repair, donation, and recycling resources, as part of its recycling education and outreach efforts managed by I Love a Clean San Diego. This fiscal year (FY24), we will be updating the WasteFreeSD.org database twice annually to provide users with the latest information. Our hotline is available daily from 8 am to 1 pm, offering assistance in both English and Spanish. ESD receives quarterly reports detailing the total number of inquiries received and the top ten items searched, helping us improve the database to better serve our community.
