Include stated preference for 100% renewable energy on publicly available chargers on municipal land

In 2023, the City issued an RFP to prospective contractors to install Electric Vehicle charging stations in city parking lots and public spaces. The requirements stated that the chosen contractor must use 100% renewable energy sources, like those offered by San Diego Community Power or other suppliers, to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions.
