Official description

Create a food council or advisory board with local stakeholders
(Full action name in the CAP)
This action calls for the formation of an advisory group focused on food and agriculture. The Mayor’s Office recently partnered with the Office of Boards and Commissions and Council Offices to establish a new Climate Action Advisory Board and a new Climate Resilience Advisory Board. These new advisory boards are still establishing their workplans and focus areas. The City is also having conversations with food sustainability advocates and practitioners regarding opportunities for a pilot or demonstration project on City land. We will continue discussions with stakeholders and the advisory boards to determine if a sub-committee or stand-alone working group would be most effective to address food and agriculture issues.
