After the selection of a new marketing consultant in 2025, ESD will launch another comprehensive multicultural, multi-lingual recycling marketing campaign with a long-term behavior change focus outreach to City-serviced residents, privately serviced residents, businesses, and commercial entities. The outreach will include programs, mailers/postcards, and paid advertisements via billboards, transportation stops, television, radio and social media to spread the word to all communities, as well as door-to-door outreach at certain multi-family properties serviced by franchise haulers.
Franchise haulers are currently auditing and verifying some of the properties that had either been missed in their rollout or are right-sizing their service levels
The Office of the City Auditor completed the study and published key findings in this report.
In addition to the marketing campaign, the consultant will coordinate door-to-door outreach at various multi-family sites serviced by private haulers.
